Business head shots are so important when it comes to your business it’s where you get to tell your story on a visual level to clients in a small-time frame. There’s a lot of planning, preparing and styling to get the right picture during the shoot, that’s both effortless and visually correct with you and your brand story. If your privy to my blog’s you know I’ve worked with clients from all types of businesses, however this is the first time I’ve work with a Wedding Planner who creates bespoke wedding packages for her very wealthy clients, how exciting.
As the saying goes Location, Location when it comes to the location it’s so important to get the right ambiance as well as the right setting to capture you and your business. For the client this scene setting was all about castles, which I have to say was so exciting, Bamburgh Castle is steeped in history with amazing views like an adult’s playground, defiantly a perfect setting for the client’s visual story. Vicki is the founder of “Two Become One business” that works with international clients creating bespoke luxury weddings and events.
Styling for this shoot was all about opulence, golds that happen to be two of my favorite words and some purple thrown in to add some bold contrasts. We did a few style calls, telephone calls and messenger as well as some personal shopping to get all the outfit created as Vicki is based in Essex and was traveling up the night before the shoot. It’s always important to go through each look and the concepts of hair and makeup before shoot days, fingers crossed all the team and client are good to go. With any stylist I’ve always got my trusty Mary Poppins bag just in case we need other wardrobe styles, jewellery and accessories with me.
It was an early start Laura the fabulous photographer from www.laurapearman.com wanted to capture the true magnificence of the castle during daylight before a cascade of visitors descended to get their daily castle fix. We were given a tour to really get our creative team ready to rock and roll then it was time for the first outfit of the day to make its appearance Yellow and some leopard print in the grand hall. In total we had 4 amazing outfit changes with make-up by the talented Marie from www.ndmakeupartists.co.uk .
We shoot photos in the castle then moved outside, it was a bit like there she blows with the wind as ever we manged to make the photo work and look effortless. The finale part of this day was gold leaf on Vicki’s hair coming down the side of her face which was breath taking at the stair case of Linden Hall she looked amazing. I love seeing the collaboration of it all come together and the finale results that capture the true essence of the client (Vicki) and her brand story.
Here are a few of the pictures taken on the day at Bamburgh Castle& Linden Hall……
