PR & Bubbles

I first met Kathryn though business networking a few years ago she’s one of those ladies that’s got such a bubbly personality, which really suits her line of work as a PR professional, content creator and social media guru.  I was super excited when I got the call from Laura Pearman Photography that Kathryn was booked in to have her business photo shoots done.

Now when it comes to finding the perfect outfits having a wardrobe stylist by your side takes away that feeling of overwhelm and any Carrie Bradshaw moments might have when you can’t decide what to wear. Okay, it’s part of my role to figure out the best outfits that showcase the client (Kathryn) and her business visually through the lens.

As always lots of stuff happens behind the scenes from the initial conversation to meeting Kathryn’s wardrobe, from understanding the client’s vision from business branding point of view right down to the location.

This is all important as I allow me to create the ideal image that expresses Kathryn and her PR business.

A week before the shot day we got together with coffee and KitKat biscuits, which was very important for me, the aim was to pull outfit options together and accessories, with some key pieces that needed to be bought, plus it’s an excuse to go shopping. This is a fun but crucial part of the process as we need to make sure that every outfit helped Kathryn feel comfortable, confident as well as fabulous from every angle during her shot.

Shoot day arrived we started off in ND Make up studio with the fabulous artist Marrie the studio has a fab modern chic vibe to it. (If you’re looking for a place to have your makeup and hair done this is defiantly the place to visit Kathryn was in the throws of getting her make up and hair done in the studio, she looked like a movie star preparing for her Hollywood debut, I was busy putting the planed outfits in order of the shot, so we could go quickly from each outfit change.

We then moved locations and headed to Hotel Indigo which is a beautiful boutique hotel perfect for the next phase of the business shot. It included rollers, slogan T-shirt and fun with some I’m ready to travel the world first class kind of outfit styling. We finally finished at a Vibrant cocktail lounge and restaurant with elegant Georgian edifice and period décor, this time was all the lipstick rocking an outfit that was ready to meet her PR clients with a glass of bubbly or two.

The photographer, stylist and hair & makeup artist are all important factors when it comes booking your photo shoot you will find your finale images will turn out amazingly well, helping you to communicate in a nanosecond who you are and what you do.
