I first met Kathryn though business networking a few years ago she’s one of those ladies that’s got such a bubbly personality which really suits her line of work as a PR professional, content creator and social media guru. You can image I was super excited when I got the call from Laura Pearman Photography, that Kathryn was booked in to have her business photo shoot done with some styling.

Now when it comes to finding the perfect outfits having a wardrobe stylist by your side takes away that feeling of overwhelm and any Carrie Bradshaw moments you might be  having when you can’t decide what to wear. Okay, however  it’s part of my role as a personal stylist to figure out and hone the best outfits that showcase the client (Kathryn) and her business visually through the lens.

As always behind the scenes there’s lots happening with  conversations about what Kathryn’s expectations are then meeting her wardrobe. So important to understand the client’s vision from her business branding point of view right down to the location. All of this information is important as I allows me to create the ideal image that expresses Kathryn and her PR business with in her photos.

A week before the shoot day we got together with the important part a coffee and KitKat biscuit for me. The aim of the day was to pull pre-outfit options together, accessories, with a list of key pieces that needed to be purchase, plus it’s an excuse to go shopping.Just to remind you this is a fun but very crucial part of the process,as we need to make sure that every outfit helped Kathryn feel comfortable, confident as well as fabulous from every angle during her shoot day.

The day arrived we started off in ND Make up studio with it collective modern chic vibe, fabulous make up artist Marrie who does both hair & make up started to work her make up wizardry magic on Kathryn (If you’re looking for a place to have your makeup and hair done this is defiantly the place to visit http://www.ndmakeupartists.co.uk/). Anyway, Kathryn was in the throws of getting her make up and hair done in the studio, she looked like a movie star preparing for her Hollywood debut, I was busy putting the planed outfits in order of the shot, so we could go quickly from each outfit change.

Is was defiantly like a scene on location location  as we headed to Hotel Indigo, which is a beautiful boutique hotel perfect for the next phase of the business photos. It included rollers, slogan T-shirt and fun with some I’m ready to travel the world first class kind of outfit styling. We finally finished at a third location a vibrant cocktail lounge and restaurant with it’s elegant Georgian edifice and period décor. This finale part was all about the lipstick, champagne and totally rocking her outfit telling her international clients I have arrived.

Before I forget the photographer, stylist and hair & makeup artist are all important factors when it comes booking your photo shoot you will find your finale images will turn out amazingly well, helping you to communicate in a nanosecond, which is sometimes all you have, who you are and what you do.
