Welcome to your next installment of wardrobe tips.

Today we’re going to talk about what are your best colours for you. Wearing the correct colours can give your skin a healthy, attractive glow, balance the shape of your features and even help you look younger.

Choosing the wrong colours can often make you look dull or clash with your natural tones. When you choose the right colours they can make you look brighter and naturally provide you with more confidence.

So, you can see just how important it is to wear the best colours. I do believe that colours are underrated when it comes to fashion and everyone should seek advice about their colours before they go out and buy clothes.

After all, we all want to look our best from the second we step a foot out of the door!

To find the best colours for you, you need to determine your undertone. This is done through colour analysis, which will tell you whether you have yellow undertones (warm) or blue undertones (cool).

Within your skin you have a combination of haemoglobin, melanin and carotene which gives your skin the cool or warm tone. A quick way to determine this for yourself is to turn your hand over so your palm is facing up. Take a look at the veins on your wrist, if they look green or slightly yellow then you are warm toned but if they are purple or blue then you are cool toned.

Warm toned – wear earthy shades, burnt orange, cream, gold, yellow, green, camel and brown colours are perfect for you.

Cool toned – wear white, black, dark blue, silver, grey and dark purple. Colours that would remind you of water and sky.

It can be as simple as this, have you been asked by many different people on one occasion if you’re feeling OK? If so then it could be you were wearing the wrong colours for your skin tone. Or have you been told that your skin is radiant and your eyes are beautiful? If the answer is yes, then you were definitely wearing the right colours for your skin tone.

When you wear the wrong colours you may find that the comments you receive are negative but wearing the right colours people tend to fall over themselves to compliment you.

Colour is energy and it can lift you up or bring you down.

Now you know what body shape you are and what colours best suit your skin tone, make sure that you choose wisely next time you go out and treat yourself to some new clothes.
